Being a stylist to a professional athlete for their walk-out looks and daily styles is a dream of mine. It combines my love for sports and fashion all into one. As I have discussed in nearly all my posts, fashion truly represents who we are as individuals, and looking good makes you feel good. Having a style for A-list celebrities is important as they are continuously in the public eye, and it is admirable by others when they show off their fashion. For this week's blog, I was challenged to limit myself to the clothing store Revolve to pick out multiple date night outfits for a male professional athlete and his partner. It represents my style for men's and women’s outfits and what I am drawn to.
WOMENS
For the girl's outfit, I selected a set from the brand LOBA, a consistently girly and fashionable brand here on Revolve. The Rosalie Embroidered Bustier is a soft pink bustier top with flower details, lace, and a defining bra top that creates a girly, flattering look. I paired this top with its matching set from LOBA, the Rosalie Midi Skirt. Matching sets are staple pieces, and allow for the look to be consistent and always put together. The second set for a woman to wear features a top from the brand Mirror Palais. The top is called The Ruffle Bustier, and I paid for the all-black top with a pair of capri pants from LOBA. The Fontela Capri Pants immediately caught my eye while browsing the Revolve website. I am in love with the small, detailed lace-up on the back end of the capris, along with the ruffled bottoms that match the ruffles and flow in the Mirror Palais top. This outfit is simple yet sexy and would be paired perfectly with a pair of kitten heels.
MENS
For the men's wear, I went for a matching set from Rhythm: the Carpenter Canvas Pants & the Canvas Overshirt to create a denim-on-denim look. Any man can pull off a Canadian tuxedo and look extremely fashionable. Canadian tuxedos are a classic. I was drawn to the white stitching on both the pants and the top that outlined the clothes, creating a unique look. I was also drawn to the patch on the back of the Carpenter Canvas Pants, which adds a hint of fun. For the second look, I paired the Bowman Fishing Jacket from Malbon Golf with the Canvas Part Timer Pant from Service Works. The contrast of the white jacket with the brown collar, to the slouchy black trousers, creates a nicer look with a twist. The black slouchy trousers is the perfect addition to the Bowman Fishing Jacket, as it allow the jacket to take all the attention, yet complement it nicely with its all-black baggy look. The buttons on the Malbon Golf jacket add character, and the patch on the right arm adds to the small details of this jacket. I would add a pair of classic Black Adidas Sambas to complete both looks.
